• SmackDown Results – Solution To Intercontinental Title Match Controversy
– Tonight’s SmackDown kicked off with The Usos arriving to the arena and Paul Heyman welcoming them. Jey Uso asked Heyman if Roman Reigns is here. Heyman then hugged Jey and said both him and Roman are proud of him. Jey then told Kayla Braxton that he’ll explain his actions in the ring later tonight.
– The Fatal 5 Way match to crown the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship ended with Drew McIntyre pinning Xavier Woods and Sheamus pinning LA Knight at the same time.
The fans chanted “Triple Threat”, as Gunther looked on from the stage. No official decision was announced.
– In a backstage interview with Kayla Braxton, Paul Heyman said Roman Reigns is looking to break down Cody Rhodes by telling the truth.
– Rey Mysterio was announced as the 1st Inductee into the WWE Hall Of Fame Class of 2023.
Rey then came to the ring and was interrupted by his son, Dominik Mysterio. Dominik is not happy with the announcement and called Rey a washed up has-been.
Dominik said he’s ashamed of being Rey’s son and this led to Santos Escobar coming out with Legado Del Fantasma, which leads to a 6-man tag team match.
– Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor & Damian Priest) def. Legado Del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro)
Rhea Ripley laid out Zelina Vega outside the ring during the match. After the match, Dominik told Judgment Day members to leave the ring as he wants to speak to his dad one-on-one.
Dominik said:
“At the end of the day, I should’ve been Eddie’s son.”
Dominik then shoved Rey away and challenged him to fight him. Dominik goes to attack him, but Rey ducked and Dominik went out of the ring.
– SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair asked Adam Pearce to put her in a match on tonight’s show.
– The Viking Raiders def. Ricochet & Braun Strowman
– In a backstage segment with Gunther, Adam Pearce booked Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus for next week’s SmackDown, with the winner going after the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 39.
– SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair def. Shotzi
– The Usos came out in the main event segment. Jey Uso said he did what he had to do because Roman Reigns is his blood and he has no choice. Jey said Sami Zayn is selfish.
Jimmy Uso then said only one problem is left now – Cody Rhodes. Cody then came out. Cody said the fans want them to fight and Jimmy threatened him.
Sami then enters the ring from behind and a brawl breaks out. The show ended up with Cody & Sami clotheslining The Usos out of the ring.
