On this day in Pro Wrestling history on November 16, 2000, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired ‘WCW Millennium Final’ LIVE on PPV from the Arena Oberhausen in Oberhausen, Germany.

This was the only Professional Wrestling pay-per-view, ever held in Germany (Europe) by a major Wrestling promotion.

German Boxing Veteran Axel Schulz served as the special guest referee in the main event of the evening.

According to Brad Shepard, SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon, who was crowned the ‘Best In The World’ after winning the WWE World Cup at WWE Crown Jewel PPV, is “high maintenance” backstage and is scheduled to be involved in a major WrestleMania 35 match.

Brad Shepard also noted that his sources told him whenever Shane gets involved in something backstage, they “roll their eyes”.

Speaking of Shane, word going is that he’s expected to turn heel soon.
