• SmackDown Star Vows To Win His 1st Intercontinental Championship In 2022
Former SmackDown Tag Team Champion Xavier Woods achieved his childhood dream last year, when he won the King Of The Ring tournament.
In November 2021, Woods became the only man (so far) to have a win over Roman Reigns in a singles match during Reigns’ ongoing record-setting Universal Title reign.
Woods faced Reigns on an episode of SmackDown and won the match via DQ when The Usos interfered.
Xavier returned to SmackDown during last Friday’s episode (he had been out of action due to a calf injury) and picked up a win over Ridge Holland.
Woods then went on Twitter and vowed to win his 1st Intercontinental Championship this year.
Below is what he tweeted:
“Back to settle a score, then it’s time to get to work.
In 2022 your king will become Intercontinental Champion.”
Ricochet, who is the current Intercontinental Champion, replied:
