Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Butch and Kamille.

• Pete Dunne, known as Butch, has predominantly functioned as a tag team wrestler since his main roster debut, teaming with Ridge Holland and Sheamus.

On Friday, Butch teamed with Tyler Bate in a match against Pretty Deadly on SmackDown. Butch & Bate defeated Pretty Deadly.

This ended Butch’s losing streak, with his last win dating back to June 30th, when he triumphed in a triple threat match.

In 2023, Butch had a 9-22 record in televised matches, going 4-6 in singles matches and 4-12 in tag team or multi-man matches before his recent victory.

• WWE is actively recruiting free agents to enhance their women’s division, with notable names like Mercedes Martinez, Giulia, and Trinity (Naomi) in consideration.

Former NWA Women’s World Champion Kamille is also expected to join WWE soon.

The Wrestling Observer reports that Kamille is likely to sign with the NXT brand due to her relatively limited experience compared to main roster talent.

Her 6-year run with NWA recently ended, concluding a remarkable 812-day title reign as the sixth-longest in the history of the NWA Women’s World Championship, which she lost to Kenzie Paige in 2023.
