On this day in 1999, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF SmackDown!’.
It was pre-taped at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia and featured matches & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF Royal Rumble 2000’ PPV.

• SmackDown Star’s Push Begins With Interesting Storyline
According to the Wrestling Observer, Vince McMahon is planning to push Mandy Rose on SmackDown Live.
Vince is planning a push for Mandy that would be similar to what Lana got last year (but it failed).
This is the reason why WWE has begun using Mandy more & more as of late.
It looks like Mandy’s push has begun with her current feud with former SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi.
She decided to go after Naomi’s husband, Jimmy Uso, on last week’s SmackDown.
Mandy tried to seduce Jimmy for a kiss under the mistletoe in a PG way and below is what she said:
“Uh-oh…you know what this means…Oh, Jimmy, honey, you don’t know what you’re missing.”

During this week’s SmackDown taping, Sonya Deville faced Naomi in a singles match. Sonya ended up winning the match when Mandy distracted Naomi by showing a photo of her in just a towel on the titantron and saying that she sent it to Jimmy Uso.
