This past Friday on SmackDown, Pretty Deadly won a Tag Team Gauntlet Match to become the #1 Contenders to Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn’s Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.

During this match, Hit Row (Top Dolla & Ashante Adonis) were eliminated by The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus & Ridge Holland) in just 8 seconds, after Sheamus laid out Top Dolla with a Brogue Kick as soon as Dolla entered the match.

It should also be noted that Michael Cole openly mocks Top Dolla on commentary.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Top Dolla has backstage heat in WWE:

“This is one of those weeks where they decided every match is gonna get two minutes. We had a gauntlet to determine the #1 contenders.

We had, Street Profits vs. Ridge and Sheamus, which Ridge and Sheamus won in 2 minutes. Then we had Ridge and Sheamus vs. The Good Brothers, which actually went 5 minutes, but 3 minutes was during a commercial. So we saw 2 minutes, which Ridge and Sheamus won.

Then we had Ridge and Sheamus vs. The LWO, which Ridge and Sheamus won in 2 minutes. Then we had Ridge and Hit Row, which did not go 2 minutes because Top Dolla hit the ring. He was immediately Brogue Kicked and pinned in 8 seconds.

It’s funny because they were not even advertising the match, to begin with, last week when they did the angle. And I thought, so they’re just… Michael Cole seemed to take great glee in Top Dolla getting squashed the way he is. It really felt like watching that.

The whole thing is, like he is not very popular with some people. And when I watched the way they did that finish, it’s like, man, whatever you’ve said, man, you got some enemies on the creative team because this was, this was like the burial of all burials.”
