• SmackDown Wrestler Says He Hates Piped-In Fan Reactions In WWE ThunderDome
While speaking on the Gorilla Position podcast, Jey Uso gave his opinion on the piped-in crowd reactions WWE has been using inside the ThunderDome to create a normal atmosphere for fans at home to experience.
Below is what he said:
“I can definitely hear the piped-in noise [when I’m inside ThunderDome]. I hate it, though. There is no energy. I have to draw that [energy] from either myself or my opponent.
Typically, you know how it is when you walk through the curtains, and there are people [providing you with that energy]. However, now it is like dancing in an empty room instead of when it’s go-time with the people. That part I miss, because I have to draw that from within myself, Uce.
I used to walk down the aisle, and put my hand out to meet the fans, especially children. When I was a kid, I touched the hands of Ultimate Warrior, and that’s cool stuff which always sticks with you. So yeah, those special moments I miss a whole lot.
I really, really miss the people. That’s what made wrestling special, just like football. A live audience.”

Old School WWF Veteran “Flash Funk” 2 Cold Scorpio (Real name: Charles Scaggs) celebrates his 55th birthday today.
After wrestling for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling (1992-1994) and Paul Heyman’s Extreme Championship Wrestling (1994-1996), 2 Cold Scorpio joined the World Wrestling Federation as “Flash Funk”, debuting at the 1996 Survivor Series PPV, the same event where The Rock had his debut as Rocky Maivia.
He later dropped the Flash Funk gimmick and joined the WWF Attitude Era faction ‘The J.O.B. Squad’ as 2 Cold Scorpio.
