• Old School WCW Tag Team Veteran Celebrates His Birthday
Old School WCW Tag Team Veteran King Kong (Real name: Scott Thompson) celebrates his 52nd birthday today.
King Kong was one half of The Colossal Kongs, a Tag Team that most famously wrestled for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling between June 1993 and December 1993.
The highlight of their WCW run was a match at ‘Clash of Champions 24’ on August 18th 1993 against Ric Flair & Sting.
King Kong eventually changed his name to “Krusher Kong” for copyright reasons.
The Colossal Kongs also wrestled for the Global Wrestling Federation and several smaller Texas-based promotions during the 90s.
