• Spoiler On Royce Keys’ WrestleMania 42 Match
Jelly Roll made an appearance on MizTV on last night’s SmackDown. The Miz said he wants to be Jelly Roll’s mentor, but Jelly said no. Miz took credit for Jelly’s 250 lbs weight loss and Miz said he liked Jelly better when he was fat. Jelly said he’d kick Miz’s a$$.
Kit Wilson came out and called Jelly Roll fat-phobic and toxic. Miz held Kit back. Jelly went to punch Kit, but Kit got out of the way and Jelly laid out Miz.
According to Bodyslam, Jelly Roll is expected to compete in a tag team match at WrestleMania 42 and his partner is scheduled to be Royce Keys (fka Powerhouse Hobbs in AEW). WWE is booking angle where Jelly and Royce bond over stories of their real-life hardships, which is one of the reasons WWE heavily promoted Royce’s appearance on Stephanie McMahon’s “What’s Your Story?” podcast.
Jelly and Royce are scheduled to take on the team of The Miz and Kit Wilson. WWE announced that Kit will call out Jelly on next week’s SmackDown.
So far, Royce Keys has only made one televised appearance on WWE TV, which was in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.

• Backstage News On Randy Orton’s Heel Turn
Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton met in the ring for their WrestleMania 42 contract signing in the main event segment of SmackDown. Cody talked about having his WWE debut match against Orton in 2007. Cody said he has always been proud to be Randy’s boy. Cody signed the contract, but Randy hesitated.
Randy said he needs the WrestleMania main event and the WWE Title. Cody said he’ll always love Randy. Randy signed the contract and then turned heel by launching a brutal attack on Cody.
Cody got busted open. Randy even attacked Nick Aldis and Jelly Roll. Randy sat in a chair with the WWE Championship in his lap to end SmackDown.
TC of WrestleVotes reported the following about Orton’s heel turn:
“Just texted with a WWE staffer backstage at SmackDown who said there was intention behind Randy Orton wearing the black ‘RKO Everybody’ shirt rather than the royal blue shirt we have seen him wearing as of late. Little details like that go such a long way in storytelling.”
