Spoiler On Upcoming Plan For Shane McMahon & The Miz

Shane McMahon

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (February 18, 2017) – Old School Wrestling Legend Passed Away

On this day in 2017, we lost Old School NWA/WWF Legend “The Russian Bear” Ivan Koloff (Real name: Oreal Perras) at the age of 74 due to liver cancer.

In 1971, he defeated then WWWF World Heavyweight Champion Bruno Sammartino for the Title in what is said to be an even more shocking moment than what we witnessed at WrestleMania XXX when Brock Lesnar broke The Undertaker’s streak.

Those who were in Madison Square Garden on January 18, 1971 said that you could hear a needle drop after Koloff had defeated Bruno via pinfall.

The Russian Bear has yet to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, a very deserving honor that they missed out on while he was still alive.

• Spoiler On Upcoming Plan For Shane McMahon & The Miz

As seen at last night’s Elimination Chamber 2019 PPV, The Miz & Shane McMahon lost the SmackDown Tag Team Titles to The Usos.

Miz was very irate about losing the Titles in a backstage segment and Shane told him to relax and go home.

As we noted last month via The Dirty Sheets, current plan is for Shane McMahon vs. The Miz to take place at WrestleMania 35.

This means that one of them will most likely turn on the other. Many fans were expecting Miz to turn on Shane O’Mac after the match last night (as Miz had his hand placed on Shane’s neck in such a way that it looked like he was going to send Shane head-first into the ring post).

We’ll know more about the Shane/Miz situation on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live.
