Spoiler Regarding A Possible Return On Tonight’s RAW, Most Likely Candidates For Brock Lesnar’s Next Opponent

RAW IS WAR

• Old School WWF Legend Would Have Celebrated His Birthday Today

Today would have been the 62nd birthday of Old School WWF Legend “The Mighty” Hercules Hernandez (Real name: Raymond Fernandez).

After touring various NWA territories during the early 80s, Hercules joined the World Wrestling Federation in 1985 and left in 1992.

He has yet to take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame, where he belongs without a shadow of a doubt.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY & R.I.P.!

• Most Likely Candidates For Brock Lesnar’s Next Opponent

As we have noted before, Brock Lesnar’s next Universal Title defense is expected to be at the Money In The Bank 2018 PPV.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, WWE officials have two options in mind for Lesnar’s next opponent – Roman Reigns or Braun Strowman.

As we noted earlier, WWE is pushing for for “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns to go after Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship once again.

While the main push is for Reigns to get another shot at Lesnar, WWE is also teasing other names. Below is what WWE posted about this ahead of tonight’s post-Backlash edition of RAW:

Has Roman Reigns earned another opportunity at Universal Champion Brock Lesnar?

“Roman Reigns essentially neutralized his controversial Steel Cage Match loss to Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at the Greatest Royal Rumble event by overcoming the all-out onslaught of Samoa Joe at WWE Backlash.

Will The Big Dog’s victory finally put him in a position to battle The Beast for the Universal Championship? Or will other Superstars such as Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman or Bobby Lashley get a title opportunity after impressive performances at WWE Backlash?”

WWE also posted the following poll on their website:

Should Roman Reigns get another Universal Title opportunity after defeating Samoa Joe at WWE Backlash?

Below is the result of this poll as of this writing:

(42%) Yes. The win should put The Big Dog back in the title picture.

(58%) No. He needs to win more high-stakes matches before getting another championship opportunity.

With that being said, WWE might book a #1 contenders match on RAW with the above teased names.

After Reigns main evented last night’s Backlash 2018 PPV (instead of WWE Champion AJ Styles), it’s clear that Vince McMahon hasn’t given up on Reigns (as there was speculation after Reigns took two straight losses to Lesnar) and Reigns could quite possibly still be the man who eventually dethrones Lesnar.

• Spoiler Regarding A Possible Return On Tonight’s RAW

According to PWInsider, former RAW Tag Team Champion Jason Jordan is scheduled to make his return to WWE programming on tonight’s post-Backlash edition of Monday Night RAW.

Jordan has been out of action for about 3 months now due to a neck injury. Jordan underwent neck surgery back in February.
