During an appearance on Rene Dupree’s Cafe de Renee podcast, former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman talked about Stephanie McMahon getting married to Triple H.
The Coach said this marriage segregated the McMahon family:
“I don’t know how Shane (McMahon) feels about it but I’m saying that I’ve always felt that, and a lot of people backstage, I mean everybody talked about it because it was a thing.
They were in a storyline and then it turned into a real-life love affair and they’re still together to this day, so good for them. But I think that really segregated the McMahon family because Vince had to deal with it because Triple H was one of the biggest stars he had at the time and ultimately, you know, you’ve seen it all play out over the last 20 years.”
Shane McMahon has previously said the following about Triple H & Stephanie’s marriage during his interview on Mick Foley’s Tell All podcast:
“At first it was… as long as they’re gonna be happy that’s all I really care about. You know, it was more old school back in the day, especially the boss’ daughter, you don’t ever date a talent at that point, because there was separation.
At that time it was church and state, or office and the boys, if you will. So there’s a lot of old school stuff in there. The thing that didn’t sit well with me is that it was kept from me for a while, so that didn’t feel good.”
Stephanie McMahon and Triple H got married on October 25, 2003, in a private ceremony. The couple has been a major power duo in WWE, where Stephanie served in various executive roles, including Chief Brand Officer (CBO) and Triple H playing an essential role in talent development, eventually becoming WWE’s Chief Content Officer and head of creative.
They have three daughters:
Aurora Rose Levesque – Born on July 24, 2006.
Murphy Claire Levesque – Born on July 28, 2008.
Vaughn Evelyn Levesque – Born on August 24, 2010.
The family has largely kept the children out of the public spotlight, but Aurora has expressed interest in wrestling, with speculation that she may follow in her parents’ footsteps one day.
Stephanie has spoken in interviews about her daughters possibly having a future in the wrestling business, but she emphasizes that the decision will be theirs to make.
