On the latest edition of the Stone Cold Podcast, Steve Austin discussed the possibility of him returning to in-ring action and facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32.
Regarding cutting the promo in the end during his podcast with Paul Heyman on WWE Network, he had to say the following:
I didn’t know what Heyman was going to say so I went into ‘promo mode’ because it was right for the Stone Cold character. I didn’t mean to raise the expectations of the fans and my intentions were not to setup a match between me & Lesnar. Both of us would be doing different things going forward.
Steve Austin noted that he didn’t mean to stirr things up & wasn’t attempting to build to a WrestleMania match.
