Below are the highlights from the AEW Revolution 2024 post-show media scrum, which featured Sting answering questions after his retirement match.

– AEW President Tony Khan announced that Sting and Darby Allin have vacated the AEW World Tag Team Titles and a tournament will take place to crown the new champions.

– Tony said Sting is not a political person and didn’t push for an undefeated run in AEW. Sting won 30 matches in his final run (29 in AEW and 1 in Japan).

– Sting revealed that Tony wasn’t happy with how some other places booked him and promised him that wouldn’t be the case in AEW.

– A reporter asked Sting to talk about the early days of his career with The Ultimate Warrior. Sting said being in a tag team with Warrior was a good way to enter the industry, but they had to go their separate ways or they would’ve killed each other.

Sting called himself and Warrior “two roided out guys”. Sting said that’s how it was back in the day. He noted that he stopped using steroids in 1990.

– Sting told The Young Bucks that this was one of the top 3 matches of his career.

– Sting said he doesn’t have any interest in being a manager or an agent. He’s open to having a talk with Tony Khan about possibly doing more things with AEW.

– Sting revealed that Tony Khan asked him if he’ll postpone his retirement until AEW All In 2024 at Wembley Stadium.

– Tony Khan said people are saying this was the greatest PPV of all time. Tony called tonight one of the greatest memories of his life. He also said Sting’s run in AEW was the greatest 3 years of his life.

– Tony told Darby Allin that he has a match scheduled against Jay White at AEW Dynamite: Big Business on March 13.

– Khan said 2024 is an important year for AEW. Khan said they have the best roster in wrestling, he has great plans for fans in Atlanta and wants to focus on the growth of the company. He said the run to their next PPV, AEW Dynasty on April 21st, is going to be special.

– Revolution will be around the $1 million gate (revenue from tickets).

– Khan was asked about the rumors of Ricky Stark’s AEW contract expiring and him possibly joining another company. Khan said Starks is still under contract and was a big part of Sting’s AEW run, as he was in Sting’s first match in the company and was also in the match where Sting became champion.

– March 2024 is going to be one of the greatest months ever for AEW, according to Khan, and that tonight was one of the greatest nights in the history of All Elite Wrestling.
