• Stone Cold Comments On The Undertaker Squashing John Cena At WrestleMania 34

During a recent edition of the Steve Austin Show podcast, WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin had the following to say regarding The Undertaker defeating John Cena in just 2 minutes & 45 seconds at WrestleMania 34:

“What looks shocking to me was Cena calling that for so long and basically it wasn’t an advertised match. Yeah, it was teased and they paid off the tease but it wasn’t really advertised. So nonetheless, I guess crowd felt like they got a bonus but in that bonus was a very short match where Cena got squashed.

I got respect for both guys. Taker has been around forever and he has one of the best runs in the history of the business. So has John Cena. Just man, had it been a 15-minute bing-bang-boom thing! I don’t know that that’s what they needed, but it just seemed like maybe if Cena would have got a little bit more offense into that Tombstone then maybe had been a little bit more effective. But it was what it was.

And I don’t know how Taker is feeling on a physical level, he looked phenomenal. He’s one of the toughest guys I think in the business. Cena, you know, probably moving on to do other things with movies and series and endorsements and stuff like that but continues to be an ambassador for the company and (he is) a guy with a great attitude and not afraid to put somebody over and I respect him for that.”
