• Stone Cold Reacts To Roman Reigns Defeating Cody Rhodes

In the main event of WrestleMania 39, Roman Reigns defeated 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

This was Roman’s 7th WrestleMania main event and Cody’s 1st. Roman will now complete 1,000 days as champion on May 27th at the Night Of Champions PPV.

Some people agreed with this decision, while some didn’t. Kurt Angle feels Cody should’ve won, but Road Dogg and Dustin Rhodes think otherwise.

During an interview with Sports Illustrated, Stone Cold Steve Austin agreed with Triple H’s booking and said the following about The Tribal Chief defeating The American Nightmare:

“It was a classic. I loved it, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I texted a couple people who were involved, and I sent a one-word text: ‘Magnificent’.

To me, you can’t take that belt off Roman right now. You want to get it to Cody somehow, someway, some time — but now’s not the time.”

Prior to the match, Austin hoped that Roman & Cody would go 30 minutes in the ring and they did. They wrestled for almost 35 minutes, which was the longest match of both nights.
