• Stone Cold Steve Austin Has Turned Down WWE’s WrestleMania 39 Match Offer

The Rock won’t be wrestling at WrestleMania 39, and now Stone Cold Steve Austin has turned down a match offer from WWE for this event as well.

As we have reported before, Austin was first offered a match against Brock Lesnar, but he turned it down.

He was then offered an “enormous amount of money” for a match against Roman Reigns, and he has turned that down as well.

Here’s what the Wrestling Observer reported:

“As far as Austin goes, Steve might be at the show. I mean, I wouldn’t be surprised at all. He might do something on the show but he did in fact turn down wrestling at the show.

He was offered (Brock) Lesnar, he was offered Roman Reigns. He probably could have named his opponent if he wanted to do it with anybody else but he did not choose to wrestle on the show.”

Austin’s last match was against Kevin Owens, in the main event of WrestleMania 38 – Night 1, which he won.
