2. Joey Styles Released From WWE
Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that former WWE announcer Joey Styles was quietly released from the WWE recently. The release might have to do with a recent Facebook Live Q&A session.
During the Q&A session, Joey was pretty open about his opinion and didn’t hold anything back. Joey noted that he doesn’t like the name of the new “Universal Championship”, why Vince McMahon likes Roman Reigns and more. Below is what he said when asked why Vince kept on pushing Roman as a babyface despite negative reaction from the crowd:
“Bottom line is, if our chairman thinks he sees a future star as a babyface, that’s how things are gonna play out. But the answer is Vince thinks it can work. He’s been right much, much, much, much, much more than wrong over the course of the last 40 years. I’m sorry, but I’m not gonna second-guess the chairman.”
