3. 2017: Rusev’s Worst Year In WWE?

The year 2017 has turned out to be forgettable for Rusev so far. He has lost all his PPV matches this year. Starting at the Royal Rumble 2017 PPV, he failed to win the 30 man Royal Rumble match, then went on to lose to The Big Show at FastLane PPV and then got injured.

His injury resulted in him missing WrestleMania 33. His request for a WWE Championship match at Money In The Bank 2017 PPV was ignored by SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon. He then returned from injury and entered into a short feud with John Cena, which ended with him losing to him at Battleground in a Flag match. Now, he faced the 13 time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton at SummerSlam 2017 and lost in 10 seconds after getting nailed with a vicious RKO.

Well, it’s pretty much clear Rusev is having a rough time and if things don’t take a positive turn, then 2017 will surely be the worst year of Rusev’s WWE career. You can watch Rusev’s 10 second loss to Orton below:
