WWE is playing a storyline of both “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns and “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman getting injured at Payback 2017. Below is what WWE posted:

Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman sustain injuries at WWE Payback

Not satisfied with merely defeating Roman Reigns Sunday night at WWE Payback, Braun Strowman further brutalized The Big Dog after their match, attacking his foe with the steel steps and even attempting to ambush Reigns after the show during WWE Network’s Raw Talk — an assault that sent Strowman into an ambulance door with such force that he ripped it right off the vehicle. On Raw, General Manager Kurt Angle confirmed that both rivals sustained serious injuries Sunday night, and not even The Monster Among Men walked away unscathed.

At WWE Payback, Strowman re-aggravated injuries to Reigns’ ribs, and The Big Dog suffered additional internal injuries on top of the ones he sustained when The Monster Among Men toppled an ambulance with Reigns inside it during the April 10 edition of Raw. Strowman, meanwhile, has a torn rotator cuff.

Angle is working with WWE officials and medical personnel to determine how to best proceed with this ongoing, escalating situation.
