• SummerSlam 2022 Expected To Take Place In The UK
Fans have been asking WWE to do a pay-per-view in the United Kingdom once again, and they might be getting what they asked for.
According to Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT, WWE Officials are looking to do SummerSlam 2022 in the UK.
WWE has been looking at venues for a few months now, and Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales is the favorite to get selected.
They are reportedly in favor of this stadium because of the retractable roof, and it can hold up to 78,000 people.
If WWE’s final decision is that they don’t want to do SummerSlam 2022 in the UK, then there are still talks going on about doing a PPV in a Stadium in the UK.
WWE recently did a Live Events tour in the UK and held a meeting regarding a UK PPV in 2022, and Drew McIntyre was a part of this meeting.
McIntyre has revealed in past interviews that there were plans for him to face Tyson Fury at a UK PPV, but those plans got nixed due to COVID-19.
WWE is currently planning to do 8 stadium shows in 2022. Some of those shows have already been revealed:
– Royal Rumble 2022 at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis
– 2 Nights (currently rumored, not confirmed) of WrestleMania 38 at the AT&T Stadium near Dallas
– Money In The Bank 2022 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas

Old School Wrestling Veteran Les Thatcher (Real name: Leslie Malady) celebrates his 81st birthday today.
Les Thatcher wrestled for various territories during the 60s & 70s, such as Jim Crockett Promotions, Championship Wrestling From Florida & Georgia Championship Wrestling.
In 1967, he became “NWA Rookie of the Year” and then went on to win several championships, such as the NWA Tennessee Tag Team Championship, the NWA Southern Tag Team Championship and the NWA Mid-America Tag Team Championship.
