Ted DiBiase Jr., the son of WWE Hall of Famer “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, had been facing serious legal issues tied to an alleged Mississippi welfare fraud case involving millions in federal funds.

He was accused of conspiring to commit wire fraud and money laundering, with prosecutors alleging that he and others improperly obtained money from programs such as The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).

According to the indictment, DiBiase was alleged to have used those funds for personal expenses, including purchasing a home, a boat, and a vehicle, while failing to meet the requirements of contracts tied to the funding. He was also accused of moving money between his businesses for personal benefit.

DiBiase had pleaded not guilty to all charges, maintaining his innocence throughout the case.

In an update on this situation by PWInsider, after roughly four hours of deliberation, a Mississippi jury returned a verdict clearing Ted DiBiase Jr. of all charges.

The decision followed a trial that spanned several weeks and included testimony from around 20 witnesses. Proceedings were temporarily paused at one point due to a medical emergency involving his lead attorney, while the court also denied multiple defense requests for a mistrial before the case ultimately went to the jury.

Ted DiBiase Jr. was signed to WWE from 2007 until 2013. He held the World Tag Team Championship on two occasions, along with his partner Cody Rhodes.
