Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring John Cena and Lince Dorado.

• During an appearance on the Cafe de Rene podcast, WWF Veteran Pat Tanaka (of The Orient Express) talked about John Cena’s legendary career.

Tanaka criticized Cena’s in-ring work, but put him over for being a superstar:

“I always thought, ‘Man, that guy cannot work with sh*t.’ But I tell you what, he had some serious charisma, brother. He didn’t even need to work.

He is a great, great actor. I think he’s fantastic. You know, I applaud that guy, man, because I tell you what, what a superstar he is now.”

• Lince Dorado has returned to WWE. He made his comeback at Friday’s NXT Live Event in Citrus Springs, Florida.

Following his match, Dorado confirmed the news on X, writing, “Cats out of the bag! Time to get #luchalit @WWENXT #NXTCitrusSprings.”

The Wrestling Observer reported the following about Lince’s new role in the company:

“He has been hired as a coach. So that’s the deal there. He’s going to work at the Performance Center, and do some matches as well.”

Dorado first joined WWE in 2016, impressing in the Cruiserweight Classic and earning a spot on 205 Live. He later formed the Lucha House Party with Gran Metalik and Kalisto.

After his 2021 release, he kept the lucha tradition alive, competing internationally and wrestling for promotions like MLW.
