The Greatest Mexican Wrestlers of All Time

The Greatest Mexican Wrestlers of All Time

3. Eddie Guerrero

Born as a son of the legendary Gory Guerrero, Eddie’s first international claim to fame, came when he wrestled for Paul Heyman’s ECW in 1995.

Soon Eric Bischoff, who found himself competing with the WWF in what is now famous as the Monday Night War, stole some of ECW’s greatest talents away by signing them for WCW World Championship Wrestling, giving them guarenteed money contracts, something that was unheard of at that time.

Eddie Guerrero was one of them, among his friend Dean Malenko & Chris B., who jumped ship in late 1995.

During his WCW Days Eddie was able to win the Cruiserweight Title (twice) and the United States Heavyweight Title aswell.

He’s also famous for being the leader of the lWo Latino World Order Stable, a group containing a lot of WCW’s luchadores.

In January of 2000 Eddie Guererro left WCW and joined the WWF with his friends Dean Malenko, Chris B. & Perry Saturn.

4 Years later Eddie became the WWE Champion at ‘WWE No Way Out 2004’, when he got a pinfall victory over Brock Lesnar, after Bill Goldberg interfered on Eddie’s behalf.

Eddie passed away 2 weeks before WWE Survivor Series 2005 and got inducted into the 2006 class of the WWE Hall of Fame.

Rest in Peace Eddie Guerrero
