Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving The Undertaker, Kevin Nash and Netflix.

• At WWE Super ShowDown 2019 in Saudi Arabia, The Undertaker defeated Goldberg in their infamous first and only singles match against each other.

The Deadman spoke about this match on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast and had the following to say:

“It was horrible, the match that I had with Goldberg in Saudi Arabia. You know, there was never a time in my career where I didn’t feel like no matter what happened, that I couldn’t figure out a way to make it all work and make it make sense. Get it back on track and still have a decent match.

[Goldberg] got concussed early on, it’s 98 degrees at midnight in the desert and it was just like a train wreck. The more I tried to fix it, the worse it got.

I’m not pointing fingers, it’s just one of those things that happened where I just didn’t have it in me physically anymore to make things right.”

• During the SummerSlam 2024 pre-show, Michael Cole introduced ESPN announcer Joe Tessitore as the newest member of the WWE broadcast team, announcing that Tessitore would join the RAW commentary team in September while Cole would move back to SmackDown. However, according to a new report, this change will only be temporary.

The Wrestling Observer reports that Tessitore is set to move to SmackDown in January, while Cole will return to RAW at the start of 2025 to call the action when RAW moves to Netflix.

With Cole and Pat McAfee having worked together while McAfee was on WWE programming, it remains uncertain whether McAfee will also make the jump with Cole or continue calling the action during the college football season, as he has been announced to return to ESPN College Gameday for the 2024-2025 season.
