• The Rock made an appearance on this week’s episode of NXT New Year’s Evil, which helped the viewership big time.
The show drew 957,000 viewers with a 0.25 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is up from last week’s 626,000 viewers with a 0.16 rating.
NXT booker Shawn Michaels thanked The Final Boss for his appearance by tweeting the following:

3 New champions were crowned on the show. Giulia defeated Roxanne Perez to win the NXT Women’s Championship, Lexis King defeated Charlie Dempsey to become the NXT Heritage Cup Champion, and Oba Femi defeated Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe in a triple threat match to win the NXT Championship.
The Rock had a backstage segment with Ethan Page and his daughter, NXT General Manager Ava. He later came out to end the show with a promo, where he put over the NXT brand.

• Alexa Bliss’ WWE return is officially gaining momentum, with reports indicating that her comeback is actively being woven into future creative plans.
WrestleVotes shared an update, revealing that WWE is preparing for Bliss’ return by incorporating her into upcoming storylines and developing new merchandise and promotional materials:
“The highly anticipated return of Alexa Bliss is on the horizon, according to a well placed source. Creative is reportedly working her into future plans, with merchandise and promotional materials already in development.”
Bliss, who last competed at the 2023 Royal Rumble in a match against Bianca Belair, has had a transformative time away from WWE. During her hiatus, she navigated personal health challenges and embraced motherhood, marking a significant chapter in her life.
