• The Rock Is Hesitant About Big Retirement Match Offer
The Rock last wrestled in WWE in 2024 in the main event of WrestleMania 40 – Night 1, where he teamed up with Roman Reigns to defeat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Rock pinned Cody on that night.
The Final Boss returned to WWE programming in 2025 and was a major part of John Cena’s heel turn moment at Elimination Chamber, but he never appeared in that angle after that night.
According to Andrew Baydala, The Rock has a big offer on the table from Saudi Arabia for a match at WrestleMania 43 in 2027, but The Great One is hesitant about it as it would most likely be his final match and he isn’t sure if he wants his retirement match outside the United States.
“The Rock is NOT wrestling at this year’s WrestleMania. The ‘big offer’ under discussion is for next year’s Mania 43 in Saudi Arabia, and there appears to be hesitation about proceeding, given that The Rock knows it would most likely be his last match.”
The Rock will be almost 55 years old by the time WrestleMania 43 happens.
