Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, involving The Rock and Cody Rhodes.
• According to PWInsider, former WWE Head Writer Brian Gewirtz will play a key role as The Rock’s representative in WWE’s creative process moving forward.
There’s speculation that Gewirtz may be physically present at major shows, possibly serving as a contingency plan (“Plan B”) if Endeavor decides to shift WWE’s direction and opt for a creative team backed by Dwayne Johnson in the future.
With all the negative reaction that The Rock is getting on Social Media, Gewirtz tweeted the following:
“You all have no idea… #WrestleMania”

• The hottest topic in the world of professional wrestling right now is The Rock facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 instead of 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes.
RAW wrestler Sami Zayn isn’t happy about this and tweeted the following:
“I know that many people have many opinions about wrestling drama, and maybe I too would weigh in, if not for the fact that there are actual tragedies in the world happening daily that make wrestling drama seem largely unimportant.”
At tonight’s NXT Vengeance Day premium live event, WWE aired a promo for the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff media event that will take place this Thursday in Las Vegas.
Boos were heard during this due to The Rock – Cody Rhodes situation. You can watch it below:
