• The Undertaker’s 1st Ever WWF Opponent Was Denied Of An Opportunity To Meet The Deadman Recently
In New York this past Saturday, The Undertaker was signing autographs at The Big Event wrestling convention.
Mario Mancini, who was The Deadman’s 1st ever opponent in the WWF, was also present there and wanted to meet Taker.
However, the woman in charge at the event didn’t let Mancini meet The Phenom.
Below is what Mancini said on the Cheap Heat Productions Podcast:
“We waited again and the woman doesn’t tell Mark (Calaway) I’m there and just looks at Scott (Mancini’s promoter Scott Wilder) and I and says, ‘I’m sorry, he’s just not gonna have the time.’
I go, ‘What do I have to do, buy a $200 ticket to go see him?’ I’m not doing that.
I go, ‘Listen, all I wanna do is congratulate the guy and tell him that I’m honored that I was able to kick his career off. It was me that did that…his first match (in the WWF), you know…and I’m honored that happened. Good luck and congratulations on the Hall of Fame and your career.’
I wanted to give him the respect and I wanted my respect acknowledged.”
The Undertaker defeated Mario Mancini during a taping for WWF Superstars on November 19, 1990, 3 days prior to his official WWF debut at Survivor Series.
