• “They were concerned about my heart” – Piper Niven
Piper Niven (fka Doudrop) returned to WWE programming during the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Before that, she last competed in a WWE ring on the September 6th 2022 episode of NXT, where she teamed up with Nikki A.S.H. to defeat Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne of Toxic Attraction.
There were rumors that her absence was because of visa issues, but that’s not the case, as she confirmed it herself on Twitter.
She later revealed the reason for her absence:
“I was very sick, but I am healing. 🧠💪🏻”
During an interview with Denise Salcedo, Doudrop went into detail about her health issues.
Below is what she said:
“I’ve had some time off to deal with a health scare that I had, but luckily, that’s all it was. It was just a scare.
I got COVID real bad, and the symptoms I was having, they were concerned about my heart. God bless them, they took the best care of me.
They got every test from my heart that they can muster and every single one of them came back clean as a whistle, and to some people’s annoyance, my heart is in excellent condition.”
