10. On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (July 7, 1990) – Great American Bash 1990

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on July 7, 1990, WCW World Championship Wrestling (representing the NWA) aired ‘The Great American Bash 1990’ on PPV from The Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

After being replaced by Lex Luger earlier that year due to an injury, Sting finally got the chance to wrestle NWA World Heavyweight Champion “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair for the big gold belt.

This event also marked The Iron Sheik’s last WCW PPV appearance ever, before he returned to the WWF less than a year later as Colonel Mustafa.
