WWE’s recent decision to part ways with R-Truth has left many fans stunned—and one of his former tag team partners is not holding back. Speaking on his Politely Raw podcast, former NFL cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones reacted strongly to the release, calling it a poor move by WWE and showing genuine frustration over the situation. “This is bullsh*t! A friend of mine, R-Truth, being released by WWE,” Jones said. “Truth is one of the fan’s favorite.”

R-Truth and Pacman Jones Had a Championship Run in TNA

Before R-Truth became one of WWE’s most beloved and consistent comedic performers, he was an established name in TNA Wrestling. It was there that he and Jones became unlikely but successful partners. Jones, who was under contract with the NFL and couldn’t physically wrestle, teamed with Truth in 2007. With Truth doing all the in-ring work, the duo still managed to capture the TNA World Tag Team Championship.

“I wrestled with him in TNA. This guy is a true professional and the best teammate I’ve ever had on a Sunday,” Jones recalled. “We won the Tag Team Championships together.”

Their brief but memorable stint is still looked back on fondly by TNA fans, and for Jones, it clearly left a lasting impression.

R-Truth Deserved a Better Send-Off, Says Pacman Jones

Jones made it clear he felt WWE handled R-Truth’s exit poorly. Not only did he question the departure itself, but he also criticized the company for not giving the fans a chance to say goodbye.

“Hell yeah, f***ing right,” he said when asked if WWE should have done things differently. “He’s a true professional. I’ve never seen him get out of character of what he’s doing… [WWE] don’t even give the fans a last time to see him. They dropped the ball. 100%.”

Teddy Long Reveals What R-Truth Told Him After WWE Departure

On his “Road Trip After Hours” podcast, Teddy Long revealed that he talked to R-Truth after Truth announced his WWE departure. R-Truth is happy with his current situation and is excited about the future. Here’s what the former SmackDown General Manager said:

“I talked to Truth, and he’s happy with it. I saw his statement that he made after the release. So you know, it’s like this with me. If Truth is happy, I love it. So ain’t no going back and forth about this release, because talking back and forth or making an argument out of it, that ain’t bringing them back.

God does things for a reason. This may be the best thing to ever happen to him. What John Laurinaitis did to me was the best thing that could have happened to me.”
