On his BroDown podcast, Russo questioned how WWE could make The Rock “mean nothing” despite his legendary status. He called it the worst in-ring promo The Rock has ever done but blamed the storyline and angle rather than The Rock himself, saying the subject matter made it ineffective.
Here’s what Russo said:
“My take away from this show was, bro, are they really and honestly going to make The Rock mean nothing? Like seriously? Because I got to tell you, bro, listen, I worked with the dude for years and years.
This is the worst Rock in-ring promo I think I ever saw. It really had nothing to do with his performance. It had to do with the subject matter. It had to do with the angle. It had to do with what the hell they were talking about because I walked away.”
The Rock said he wants Cody Rhodes to be “his” champion and wants The American Nightmare’s soul. Cody will give his answer at Elimination Chamber on March 1st.

• WWE has filed a trademark for the name “Kalyx,” suggesting Sol Ruca may be getting a new identity in NXT. The name “Kalyx” aligns with her real name, Calyx Hampton, similar to how Zaria’s name is a slight variation of her real name, Daria.
While WWE hasn’t confirmed the change, the pattern indicates Sol Ruca could soon wrestle under this new moniker.
Sol has been teaming with Zaria in the NXT women’s tag team division as of late. Their latest match took place on last week’s episode of NXT, where they defeated Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson.
