• “This might offend Sting and I don’t care” – Ric Flair On A 1995 Incident

On a recent edition of his weekly ‘To Be The Man’ podcast, Old School Wrestling Legend Ric Flair spoke about his good friendship with his long-time NWA/WCW rival ‘The Icon’ Sting.

The Nature Boy revealed that back in the day during their 1995 feud, that also involved Brian Pillman and Arn Anderson, Sting failed to thank him for putting him over, something that is an old locker room tradition even till this very day, to thank your opponent for the match and – if you won – for putting you over.

Here’s what Flair had to say:

“This might offend Sting and I don’t care if it does or not, because he’s my good friend and he knows it too. When we shot the angle with Brian Pillman and me, Arn and Sting in Detroit, it was the hottest thing on the show.

The next day we went to Jacksonville, I put Sting over, I ran down, he double scorpioned both of us. He walked back in the locker room in Jacksonville, Florida and said ‘Sting is back,’ never said thank you to me or Arn.”
