Below are a couple of top WWE & AEW news stories of the day, involving Naomi and Andrade El Idolo.
• Naomi (along with Sasha Banks) walked out of WWE in May 2022 and went on to join IMPACT Wrestling (now known as TNA again), where she is the current Knockouts World Champion.
She competes under her real name Trinity these days and Fightful Select is reporting that she is on her way back to WWE:
“One WWE source told Fightful on Tuesday that something huge would have to happen for her to not end up back in WWE sooner than later, but this is a crazy free agent period.”
It was noted that WWE wanted to bring Naomi back in 2023 and were confident that they could get her back, but WWE had a hiring freeze going on at that point.
Trinity is scheduled to defend her Knockouts World Championship against Jordynne Grace at the TNA Hard To Kill 2024 PPV on January 13th.

• Andrade El Idolo has left AEW and he is reportedly returning to WWE. Below is the statement that he issued regarding his departure from All Elite Wrestling:
“I want to thank you for this time that I belonged to the company AEW and above all to Tony Khan. I also want to say goodbye to all the talent, security people, cameramen, referees and everyone who works in the company for being part of my time in AEW.
Kenny, Young Bucks, Tazz, Schiavone, Aubrey, Jerry, Hobbs, Hook, Kingston, Ricky, Orange, Thunder, Jack Perry, Austin, Colten, Sonjay and many more that I can name, also how to forget all the Mexicans (todo el relajo).
I enjoyed sharing the ring with STING, PAC, Darby, Garcia, Jay and many more. I would have loved to face MOX, Page, Hobbs, Ricky, Dante, Cage, Dustin.
Thank you AEW AND Thank you to all the fans for your support always. I wish you the best always!!!”
His last match in AEW took place at the Worlds End PPV, where he lost to Miro (Rusev) after his manager CJ Perry (Lana) screwed him.
