• Tony Khan Interested In Signing Former WWE Wrestler

During a recent interview on the Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW President Tony Khan confirmed that he’s interested in signing former WWE wrestler Zelina Vega (Thea Trinidad).

Zelina was fired from WWE last year after she refused to follow WWE’s new third party rules, where WWE wrestlers were told to stop all activity on third party platforms such as Twitch & OnlyFans.

Tony noted that he hasn’t contacted Zelina yet, as he’s waiting for her 90-day no compete clause with WWE to end (which ended earlier this month).

He then noted that he’ll approach her after the AEW Revolution 2021 pay-per-view (which takes place on March 7).

“When we get through this (Women’s Eliminator Tournament) and through (AEW Revolution PPV), I would be interested to see where she’s at.”
