• Tony Khan Recently Canceled Major Plan For MJF

In the weeks leading up to the AEW Full Gear 2022 pay-per-view, it was teased that MJF will soon be a babyface.

However, that didn’t happen. MJF cheated to win the AEW World Champion from Jon Moxley at Full Gear and is a full-blown heel.

According to the Wrestling Observer, there were plans for MJF to be the top babyface after Full Gear, but AEW President Tony Khan canceled those plans at the last minute:

“Multiple people have noted to us in the past week that there were discussions regarding having MJF be the lead face coming out of Full Gear. It was my intuition because the company needed a new hot babyface and making a top babyface today is far harder than a top heel.

That said, Tony Khan made the call and at this point the absolute worst idea would be to turn MJF face now because that window has closed at least for many more months down the line.

It might have missed its peak and all, but who can say where things will be in six months or a year.”

MJF will defend the AEW World Title against Ricky Starks on next week’s AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming.

• Old School WWF Veteran Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the 62nd birthday of Old School WWF Tag Team Wrestler Steven Dunn (Real name: Steven Doll).

If you were watching World Wrestling Federation TV in 1993-1995, you will remember him as one half of the mid-card Tag Team ‘Well Dunn’ with his Tag Team partner Timothy Well (Rex King).

They were managed by Harvey Wippleman and feuded with The Bushwhackers for most of their WWF career.

Steven Dunn was also an entrant in the 1995 Royal Rumble match, just like his Tag Team partner Timothy Well.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY & † REST IN PEACE
