• Tony Khan Reveals How Many Tickets Have Been Sold For AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door So Far

11,000 Tickets have already been sold for AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door, which will take place on June 26 at The United Center in Chicago.

Below is what AEW President Tony Khan tweeted about it:

“Thank you amazing wrestling fans who purchased tickets to @AEW x @njpwworld #ForbiddenDoor PPV!

We sold over 11,000 tickets today, with a small allotment still held back for the general sale tomorrow!”

During an interview on Superstar Crossover, Tony promised to book dream matches for this event:

“It’s something that we’d talked about for a long time. Now, with international travel opening up, it’s possible. We’ve, I think, built a great relationship between AEW and New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

I certainly am going to work closely with (NJPW Head Booker) Gedo in putting this card together. The two of us will have to decide who we can send from our respective companies, what the matches are gonna be, and we’ll make the best matches we can for the pro wrestling fans.

They’re gonna be dream matches that people thought they’d never get to see.”
