• Tony Khan Says He’s Obsessed With Winning The Demo
AEW President Tony Khan has been pretty active on Twitter over the past few days, where he’s been claiming that AEW has been the real winner in the Wednesday Night War with NXT over the past 3 weeks, as AEW is winning in the main 18-49 demo, even though NXT is drawing more viewers overall.
Writer Jon Snowden asked Khan if he needed to win the demo.
“Do you need to win the demo? If you had the same number but WWE was incrementally more successful, would it hurt AEW/TNT?”
Khan replied in the affirmative and said that he’s obsessed with winning the demo.
“Yes, I’m obsessed with winning the demo, but our relative performance in the demo vs. all programming is the most important thing. It’s like, you want to pass for more yards than the opposing QB, it’s fun & an easy thing to track, but winning the game is what matters most by far.”
