AEW’s ratings have always been a hot topic among fans, often sparking heated debates due to the intense rivalry between WWE and AEW supporters.

AEW Collision, a show that has been on the air for over a year, was initially launched with the concept of centering around CM Punk. The idea was to split the rosters to keep Punk and those who didn’t get along with him apart, following the infamous All Out brawl in 2022. However, Punk’s tenure on the show was brief, lasting only a few months before his departure.

Since then, AEW Collision has shifted towards utilizing a more balanced roster, featuring various top stars on a rotating basis. This approach has aimed to showcase the depth of AEW’s talent pool more effectively.

The show’s ratings have seen a boost in recent weeks. The June 8th episode drew 388,000 viewers with a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demo. The following week, on June 15th, the show garnered 431,000 viewers, maintaining the same demo rating. This increase marked the second-highest viewership of the year, reflecting growing interest and solid performance for AEW Collision.

AEW President Tony Khan recently tweeted the following about Collision:

“Last weekend #AEWCollision celebrated 1 year of colliding on TNT on Saturdays!

Now, we’re back TONIGHT for a stacked episode! After celebrating Father’s Day last weekend, @Christian4Peeps returns on TNT tonight + so much more!

Don’t miss AEW next on TNT after The Suicide Squad!”

A fan replied:

“1 year of shocking ratings and you pretending it’s good…”

Khan fired back:

“Yes Derek, speaking of 1 year and shocking, I was also thrilled when the 1 year anniversary Saturday Night #AEWCollision beat UFC head-to-head, 7 days ago.

What a great way to celebrate 1 year of @AEW on Saturday Nights on TNT!”
