• Tony Khan Wants To Bring Former WWE Wrestler To AEW Again
Former NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush made his All Elite Wrestling debut earlier this year at the AEW Double Or Nothing 2021 pay-per-view.
He competed in the Casino Battle Royale that night, but failed to win the match.
After this one-off appearance, Rush announced that he signed a contract with NJPW, but soon announced his retirement from Professional Wrestling.
However, AEW President Tony Khan wants to bring him back to his promotion. Here’s what he tweeted:
“I see a lot of tweets talking about Lio Rush today. Coincidentally, I’ve been talking to @TheLionelGreen a lot recently about returning to @AEW, and it feels like something that could happen in the near future.”
