• Top AEW Babyface Cleared To Return

AEW may be welcoming back one of its most popular babyfaces soon. Orange Cassidy, who has been out of action since March, is now cleared and expected to rejoin the roster in the near future.

Cassidy was forced out after suffering a shoulder injury that led to surgery, with many initially fearing a torn labrum would keep him out well into next year. Instead, his recovery has progressed faster than expected, and sources indicate he won’t face the same lengthy absence other AEW names are currently dealing with.

Throughout the summer, Cassidy has been present backstage at multiple shows while rehabbing. Reports from BodySlam and Fightful Select both confirm that the “Freshly Squeezed” star is in good shape and likely to return sooner rather than later, barring any setbacks.

The timing is significant for AEW, which has recently lost Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay to injuries. Bringing Cassidy back into the fold could help stabilize the roster and inject fresh energy into storylines heading into the fall.

• Wrestlers Are Happy With WWE’s New Live Event Strategy

WWE’s latest European Live Events tour gave the roster a rare chance to work a string of non-televised matches – and the reaction from inside the locker room has been overwhelmingly positive.

Unlike the old days, when wrestlers were expected to perform on house shows every week, today’s schedule is far lighter. So far this year, WWE has only booked 15 live events through August, a dramatic drop from nearly 50 at the same point in 2023. Most of those shows now take place overseas, where demand remains strong, while U.S. stops have been reduced to only a handful.

Several talents told Fightful Select they welcome the change. One veteran said the limited schedule has given them more weekends at home, time to train properly, and crucial opportunities to recover between TV appearances. Another performer admitted that live events feel more exciting now that they’re scarce, calling them “special” rather than routine.

The strategy isn’t just about talent morale. Higher-ups explained that cutting back house shows was a cost-saving move, but it also played a role in keeping wrestlers healthier and even sweetening contract negotiations by lowering the number of required dates. Despite the cutbacks, international tours and the annual post-Christmas “Holiday Tour” will continue, as those shows still bring in solid revenue and help build fanbases abroad.

Interestingly, WWE officials also noticed that when something memorable happens at a live event these days, it generates bigger buzz online precisely because such shows are rare. In other words, less is more – and the wrestlers themselves aren’t complaining.

• “Completely False” – Vince McMahon’s Representative On New Allegations Involving Ashley Massaro

Former WWE writer Dan St. Germain made headlines during an appearance on the Bein’ Ian with Jordan podcast when he alleged that Vince McMahon once engaged in a $exual encounter with the late WWE star Ashley Massaro in front of the roster during a European tour.

St. Germain claimed the incident began on a flight, with McMahon behaving inappropriately toward Massaro, and escalated once the plane landed. He described wrestlers allegedly being instructed to get on the tarmac as the encounter continued.

Massaro, who competed for WWE in the mid-2000s, tragically passed away in 2019 at the age of 39 due to suicide.

Following the circulation of St. Germain’s comments, a representative for Vince McMahon issued a statement to us directly addressing the accusation:

“Vince categorically denies this ever happened. It’s completely false.”
