Below are some top AEW news stories of the day:
• Bryan Danielson is nearing the end of his full-time career. In an interview on AEW’s YouTube channel, Danielson mentioned that AEW doctor Doc Sampson advised him not to wrestle until the All In PPV, where he will challenge Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship in the main event.
This advice, reported by Fightful Select, is due to genuine health concerns rather than a storyline.
Danielson has been dealing with physical issues, which is expected given his long and demanding career. Although the original plan was for Danielson to play a significant role leading up to All In, these health concerns have led to changes in his participation in certain events.
Danielson’s current contract with AEW ends on August 1, but he is expected to stay with the company for several more appearances after that.

• Under an Instagram post by AEW’s TBS Women’s Champion & NJPW Strong Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks in WWE), a fan commented the following:
“No offense, but you’re a sh*tty wrestler. You sucked in WWE because you couldn’t handle work real competition was to make a real name for yourself so you had to go to the low class place. I think you’re big and bad and you’re really a waste of the time. Dr. Baker is a better wrestler than you.”
Mercedes saw this comment and replied:
“I’m the GOAT.”
Mercedes recently had another exchange with a fan, where she took a shot at WWE. You can read it below:
Fan: This hair reminds me of the hair you had in WWE as Sasha Banks. I miss that wrestler.
Mercedes: No, you don’t.
Fan: Yes I do, AEW is trash and just filled with ex WWE wrestlers. Just saying.
Mercedes: And what is E filled with (laughing emoji)
Mercedes will defend the TBS Title against Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. at the All In PPV at Wembley Stadium.
