• Top AEW Star Is Seriously Considering Joining WWE

During an interview with Ariel Helwani back in March, AEW Superstar MJF showed interest in signing with WWE when his contract with All Elite Wrestling expires in 2024.

AEW President Tony Khan wasn’t happy with this interview, because MJF set up this interview without notifying AEW’s PR team.

Khan and MJF ended up having a heated conversation after this.

Ever since then, MJF has been mentioning “2024” and teasing the possibility of signing with WWE, even in his promos on AEW TV.

According to Fightful Select, MJF is legitimately unhappy with his AEW contract status and his comments about joining WWE aren’t in character:

“We’ve not heard of any outward frustration since then from Tony Khan’s side of things. Though the two talked out their issues in the following week, we’re told that sentiment hasn’t necessarily lasted with MJF.

Fightful has heard that MJF’s sentiments about possibly going to WWE when his contract are up are not in character, and it’s a subject he’s already weighed.

There has been at least some progress on his future in AEW, as we’re told there have been open ended mentions about him possibly gaining an extension.”

Word going on is that Tony and MJF aren’t as close as they once were.

• Old School WCW Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School Veteran Glacier (Real name: Ray Lloyd) celebrates his 58th birthday today.

Glacier joined Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling full time in 1996, portraying a gimmick that was very similar to the Mortal Kombat video game character of Sub-Zero.

During his time in WCW he feuded with Mortis (Kanyon) & Wrath (WWF’s Adam Bomb), who were managed by James Vandenberg (Sinister Minister aka Father James Mitchell), but also had some help from Ernest “The Cat” Miller.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GLACIER!
