• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (August 18, 1997) – Old School Wrestling Veteran Passed Away

On this day in 1997, we lost Old School Wrestling Veteran “The Final Solution” Jeep Swenson (Real name: Robert Swenson Jr.) at the age of 40 due to heart failure.

After making a name for himself in Fritz Von Erich’s WCCW World-Class Championship Wrestling territory as “The Mercenary” Jeep Swenson, and a stint in the later GWF Global Wrestling Federation, he was brought into Ted Turner’s WCW World Championship Wrestling in 1996 as “The Final Solution” to join “The Alliance to End Hulkamania”, consisting of The Four Horsemen, The Dungeon of Doom & Z-Gangsta (f.k.a Zeus).

After jewish organisations grouched about Jeep’s new name, WCW president Eric Bischoff decided to slightly change it to “The Ultimate Solution”.

Jeep Swenson also had roles in quite a few Hollywood movies, for example playing “Lugwrench” Perkins in ‘No Holds Barred’ and playing Bane in the famous 1997 movie ‘Batman & Robin’.

REST IN PEACE JEEP SWENSON!

• Top SmackDown Live Star Wants To Face Goldberg

During a recent interview with ESPN, top SmackDown Live Daniel Bryan was asked who he would like to face in the future.

Below is what Bryan said:

“I actually do have a list of guys and it ranges from guys like AJ Styles and Goldberg to Johnny Gargano and Roderick Strong, who are down at NXT. I want to wrestle AJ, I want to wrestle Shinsuke Nakamura, I want to wrestle Andrade Cien Almas because I love Lucha.

So Andrade is a true luchador, who main evented arenas in Mexico as a luchador and I want to go out there and I want to wrestle him. I have all these dream scenarios in my head where I would love to do this and that. I think that’s one of things that’s makes me so passionate about wrestling — the variety.”
