• Top Star Didn’t Want To Be Part Of WWE Unreal

The second season of WWE Unreal will release on Netflix on January 20th and Seth Rollins’ fake injury angle, which led to a surprise Money In The Bank cash-in at SummerSlam 2025, will be a big part of this season. During an interview with ESPN New York, Rollins said he didn’t want to be part of WWE Unreal:

“I’m super uncomfortable with it, to the point where I resisted and didn’t want anything to do with the first season. ‘Keep me out of it. Don’t put me in it.’ I didn’t want anything to do with the second season, but they asked and asked and asked.

I said, ‘There are some things that I want to protect and that I will protect. If you cross those lines, we’re going to have a problem, but there are things I’m okay with sharing. If you want to talk about my family and my story, the real person behind Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, we can get into all of that stuff.’

It’s more because you don’t know who is mic’d all the time. Wrestlepalooza, we have this mixed tag team match, and there are cameras all over the place. There are some things I don’t want filmed or want you to see.

I just raise an eyebrow at the crew and they know when to put it away, press the button, turn the microphone off, and have my moment.”

• Top AEW Star Isn’t Returning

Jay White surfaced briefly at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 to honor Hiroshi Tanahashi. This fueled immediate questions about whether White was nearing a comeback. Those expectations were quickly tempered.

According to Fightful Select, AEW sources clarified following the event that White has not been cleared for in-ring competition and is not expected to return in the near future. He is also not currently part of any active creative planning.

White has been sidelined since 2025 after suffering a hand injury and later undergoing shoulder surgery, a procedure that removed him from active competition.

At this stage, White’s status remains unchanged: still recovering, still inactive, and still outside AEW’s short-term plans. The Wrestle Kingdom appearance was a one-off exception.
