Below are some top AEW & WWE news stories of the day.
• Darby Allin is taking his fearless approach from the ring to Mount Everest, dedicating himself to training for the climb in April.
The AEW star has been off television since his December 22nd Dynamite match against Ricochet, which ended in a time-limit draw. AEW has plans for a significant push when he returns in the spring, according to Fightful Select.
Speaking to Under the Ring, Allin shared insights into his preparation, focusing on breath training. He revealed, “I thought, if I do it on air, I need to do it in water so no one thinks I’m cheating,” noting that he held his breath underwater for over three minutes. His record for breath-holding stands at 3 minutes and 40 seconds.
Allin described the training as the toughest he’s ever endured but remains undeterred. “I love being pushed to my absolute limit, but yeah, it’s definitely tough,” he said. Despite Sting reportedly advising against the risky venture, Allin is determined to conquer Mount Everest.

• Kurt Angle recently addressed the possibility of returning to WWE in a non-wrestling role.
Speaking on Story Time With Dutch Mantell, Angle explained that he is content with his career and no longer feels the need to take on such roles.
“No. You know what, Dutch, I’m at a point in life where I’m okay. I don’t need to do that anymore. I don’t need to prove who I was or add anything to my legacy. I’ve had a pretty damn good career, and I’m proud of it,” Angle said.
Angle retired from in-ring competition at WrestleMania 35 in 2019, after losing to Baron Corbin.
