Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day.

• Bayley captivated fans as a babyface for several years. But by 2019, she felt it was time for a dramatic change. That year, she debuted a fresh look, destroyed her signature Bayley Buddies, and introduced the WWE Universe to “The Role Model” by turning heel for the first time in her career.

Speaking with Pro Wrestling Experience, Bayley reflected on the importance of that shift and its impact on her career:

“I think about times like during the pandemic, I don’t know if that (babyface) character would have been able to last through the pandemic and have the type of success that I did then.”

She also credited WWE for giving her the freedom to evolve.

“I always credit them for allowing me to have that moment and them allowing me to explore my growth because I didn’t feel that what I was doing at the time was gonna extend my career any longer. So I knew I needed to turn that page and just make something different happen.”

• The story around WWE’s top faction, The Bloodline, has taken an intriguing turn, with Tama Tonga adding to the suspense.

It’s been six weeks since The Rock’s surprise appearance at the Bad Blood premium live event in Atlanta, GA, leaving fans buzzing with speculation. Despite his absence since that night, theories are swirling about what lies ahead for The Final Boss.

One of the more compelling theories is that The Rock is the mastermind behind Solo Sikoa’s new Bloodline, which features heavy hitters like Jacob Fatu, Tonga Loa, and Tama Tonga. Sikoa’s post-Bad Blood remark that The Rock’s appearance was “part of the plan” has only intensified speculation that The Final Boss might be orchestrating the faction’s moves.

The intrigue deepened further on last Friday’s SmackDown when Tama Tonga made the same throat-cut gesture The Rock used at Bad Blood. When a fan on Twitter claimed this “confirmed” The Rock’s behind-the-scenes control of The Bloodline, Tonga’s chilling response was simply: “Shhhhhhhh.”
