3. Reason Behind Why Shane McMahon Will Continue To Get Featured In Big PPV Matches

As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, Mr. McMahon announced that his son, Shane McMahon, will face the former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens in a Hell in a Cell match at next month’s Hell In A Cell 2017 PPV.

The reason behind Shane O’Mac being involved in big PPV matches has to do with his drawing power. Shane’s return to the company last year resulted in WWE doing big business with their WrestleMania 32 PPV (even with multiple top stars being out of action with injuries) and Shane’s return even resulted in significant increase in WWE Network subscribers.

With the “New Era” Superstars of WWE failing to have a significant drawing power, this is just another example of WWE being forced to use part-timers in big time PPV matches.
