• Bayley has done it all in WWE, except win the Royal Rumble and have a singles match at WrestleMania.
During an interview with the New York Post, Bayley said 2024 is going to be her year, as she plans to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Here’s what the former Women’s Champion said:
“Winning the Rumble, especially with the short lineage that it has right now, so to be one of the first 10 (wrestlers) in history (to win) because it’s gonna go on forever would be very, very, very cool and I would get my first singles WrestleMania match ever.
I’ve had so many different WrestleMania matches and last year was a dream come true, obviously.
But getting a singles match for a championship is every wrestler’s dream at WrestleMania, so I’ve gotta do it. This is my year.”
At WrestleMania 39, Bayley and Damage CTRL members IYO SKY & Dakota Kai lost to Trish Stratus, Lita & Becky Lynch in a 6-woman tag team match.
• WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has worked for AEW as a Commentator since the very beginning.
On his 83 Weeks podcast, former WCW President Eric Bischoff gave his views on how All Elite Wrestling should book Good Ol’ JR:
“I would make Jim Ross the Hulk Hogan of announcers for my company. Make him an attraction. Keep him special. Build up his legacy. Showcase him. Make him the John Madden, if you will, of professional wrestling, because that’s who he is.
You don’t even need to make him that, it’s to take advantage of the fact that he is and promote and build it and use him in the right spots much like [WWE] used Undertaker towards the end of his career.”
